Be an American

The article below is completely neutral, ...not anti republican or democrat.

Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinal has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that

in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgements made that impact each one of us every day.

It's a short (actually it's not too short) but good read. Worth the time.  Worth remembering!

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving!

What a fabulous day when an entire nation takes pause to give thanks for

our blessings!

You might have heard before how an attitude of gratitude can lead to

greater wealth. Lots of "wealth experts" have suggested that if you'd

like to increase your wealth, you should focus on being more grateful.

That way, you'll feel wealthier, and thereby attract more abundance into

your life.

What if I told you this philosophy has a flaw that makes it largely

Taking a Resolution Mulligan for Turkey Day

The past year has been hell for many Internet marketers..bankruptcies, ,divorces (often triggered by debt), and even deaths in the family. I've seen all of these happen this year to clients and friends.

If you've hit some speed bumps in your business and personal life

this year, how are you reacting to them?

Pretending they didn't happen?

Accepting defeat?

Waiting for 2011 to create another set of New Year's resolutions?

Why do any of these things?

T.J. Our Man

Thomas Jefferson was a very remarkable man who started learning very early in life

and never stopped.

At 5, began studying under his cousin’s tutor.

At 9, studied Latin, Greek and French.

At 14, studied classical literature and additional languages.

At 16, entered the College of William and Mary.

At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe.

At 23, started his own law practice.

At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses.

Dirty Wash--A Life Changing Secret

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning, while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees the neighbor hang up the wash outside.  "That laundry is not very clean", she said.  "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs another laundry soap."

The husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang out the wash, the young woman would make the same comment.

Something to Think About

Imagine that you had won the following prize in a contest:

Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400.00 in your private account for your use.

However, this prize has rules, just as any game has certain rules.

The first set of rules would be:

Everything that you didn't spend during each day would be taken away from you.

You may not simply transfer money into some other account.

You may only spend it.

Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400.00 for that day.

It's What You Scatter

I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes... I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas.

I paid for my potatoes but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes.

Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

'Hello Barry, how are you today?'

'H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look good.'

The Most Valuable Thing

A young man learns what's most important in life from the guy next door. It had been some time since Jack had seen the old man. College, girls, career, life itself got in the way. In fact, Jack moved clear across the country in pursuit of his dreams. There, in the rush of his busy life, Jack had little time to think about the past and often no time to spend with his wife and son. He was working on his future, and nothing could stop him.

Fees, Fees, and... More Fees

Times are tough for many of us and the banking industry is not immune.  In fact, the banking industry has probably been hit harder than any single industry.

Think about it... bankruptcies are being filed in record proportions for both personal and business accounts, leaving the banks without a boatload of revenue they once had.

Hilarious Life Lesson From a Flight Attendant?

JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater has become an overnight sensation as a working class hero.

If you haven't heard the story yet, Jimmy Fallon will go over the basics in this short video clip…

Fair warning, though… be prepared to grin from ear to ear for the next couple minutes!
